Billiards Instructor | Martial Arts Instructor | Retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer
With a career marked by leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for teaching, I have established myself as a dedicated professional in martial arts, engineering and billiards. I am a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service that laid the foundation for my disciplined and analytical approach to life and learning.
Professional Background
My journey began with degrees in Electrical Engineering (AA) and Industrial Management (BA), leading to leadership roles in manufacturing and engineering. As a Production Manager at Meistermatic (Cleveland, OH), Plant Manager at A&H Machine and Tool (Ypsilanti, MI), and later Maintenance Manager at Chrysler Corporation (Toledo, OH), I demonstrated exceptional technical precision and problem-solving abilities. These skills now translate seamlessly into my work as a billiards instructor.

Highlighting my latest accomplishment, I led a team of my students to win the Big Dawg award in Collin County, a prestigious milestone achieved through emphasis on teamwork, technical precision, and individualized coaching. This victory exemplifies the dedication to fostering success among students.
As one of only 41 PBIA Master Instructors in the USA, I specialize in stroke analysis and strategic gameplay, offering flexible training packages tailored to students’ unique goals. My teaching style combines technical precision with personalized care, as evidenced by my students:
My expertise as an engineer truly shines in my teaching. I blend technical analysis and precision with a caring and supportive approach, tailoring my teaching style to each student’s needs. This personalized method is a game-changer, enabling students to absorb lessons far more effectively than a one-size-fits-all method.”
Notable
In 2024, I imparted my passion for billiards with 92 adult students and 45 junior players ranging from 6-18 years old. In the same year, I added 6 new instructors and one master instructor. My approach not only elevates individual skill levels but also builds a sense of community and teamwork among students to further their love for the game.
Ambassador for the Sport
Driven by a mantra of “For the Love of the Game,” I see every student’s progress as a personal milestone. My students describe me as a master of blending technical expertise with genuine care, ensuring each player finds their unique style and excels at their own pace. As one student remarked:
“Steve takes the time to understand your unique needs and preferences, tailoring his teaching style to align with your learning process… If you're ready to learn or elevate your game, my tools, techniques, and personalized teaching style are exactly what you need to accelerate your progress!”
My teaching has reached players across the globe in Amsterdam, Aruba, Bermuda, Hawaii, Iceland, Japan, the Philippines, Portugal, and Thailand, and throughout the USA, in the following states; Nevada, Minnesota, Kansas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Ohio and Florida.
