Winning starts right here!
Studies have shown, players who exhibit consistent improvement in their game, are those who work with a qualified instructor.
How and when did I learn how to play:
My early exposure to the game of pool was through my father, who was one of the best players in town during the 1950’s & 1960’s. Spending countless hours at the local YMCA and bowling alleys, I developed a deep love and understanding for the game. In my late teens, my friends and I found refuge in playing 8 and 9 ball on the weekends, which kept us away from trouble and off the streets. When I joined the U. S. Navy, I played pool at the VFW’s and American Legions. In 2002 I started taking lessons from Master Instructor Randy Goetlicher. In 2016 he helped me become a more strategic and focused player. Currently, I teach pool full-time in the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex and strongly believe that a pool player must possess a good consistent stroke to perform well. I specialize in helping individuals analyze, develop and improve their stroke technique.
What I like about Instructing?
I plan to continue sharing the techniques and spirit of the sport with others to enhance their skills. I have played and taught in Amsterdam, Aruba, Hawaii, Iceland, Japan, Philippines, Portugal, and Thailand. I love being able to teach the student and seeing when they get that “aha” moment and they understand. I love being an ambassador for the sport of Billiards and feel that I teach that to my students
“FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME.”
