Play Better Pool in Just One Day
Winning starts right here!
Studies have shown, players who exhibit consistent improvement in their game, are those who work with a qualified instructor.
As one of only 40 BPIA Master Instructors in USA my name is Stephen Hansen, and I hail from Sandusky, Ohio. My journey in the world of pool began with my father, a top player in Ohio during the 1950's & 60's which sparked my passion for the game as I spent hours in pool halls. In my late teens, my friends and I found joy in playing 8 and 9 ball steering us away from trouble. Alongside my full-time job at General Motors, I earned an associate's degree in electrical engineering from Terra Community college.
My love for pool only deepened, leading me to join the US Navy, where I played at various duty stations. After my 20-year service, I transitioned to management at Chrysler Corporation in Toledo, while also pursuing a bachelor's degree in industrial management from Spring Arbor College. Eager to enhance my skills, I sought guidance from renowned players like Jerry Briesath, Mark Wilson, Randy G, Jeremy Jones, Nick Varner, Earl Strickland, Johnny Archer & Robin (Dotson) Bell, and credit my mentors and friends for their invaluable support.
My passion for pool drove me to become a Certified BCA/CSI referee and to oversee local tournaments including the BCA Nationals in Las Vegas. I am dedicated to improving the pool community, serving as an instructor with the PBIA (Professional Billiards Instructors Association) and ACS (American Cue Sports), where I hold a master's certification. I teach kids 18 and under monthly with master instructor Claude Gragg, preparing them for junior national's tournaments in Las Vegas, and I also offer private and group lessons in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including cities like (Addison, Carrollton, Denton, Forney, Frisco, Garland, Little Elm, Lewisville, McKinney, Richardson Terrell, & surrounding areas).
